I think as a Photographer myself, the thing I dislike the most about Photoshop Actions is how long they take to run sometimes. When I am processing 1000 plus photographs at one sitting, I don't have time for some of the actions that are out there today. I'm not knocking the actions themselves because so many of them are so good but when I am looking for workflow actions or even something to add just a little bit of something to a photograph, I need it to be quick most of the time. Which is the very reason I decided to start creating my own actions.
You will notice with all my sets that they are just simple quick little edits. Most of my actions like these are made from my color curves which I adore.
Here is my latest set of actions and these are one click quick actions. They were created in CS6.
